Ecocide means unlawful acts committed with severe damage to the environment. Ecocide law is about the process of including ecocide crime within international law according to the Rome Statutes. This would equate ecocide with genocide and war crimes. During this lunch seminar, a panel discussion will introduce ecocide and the process around ecocide law. We will further discuss opportunities and challenges of this process in relation to law and how it may be used as a leverage for a shifting value about nature.
