How can generative AI help with learning and education?
Using generative AI, learners can get help whenever needed, and the AI can be seen as a ubiquitous learning companion in all subjects. On the other hand, AI tools can be overused and lead to cheating, leading to the question of how we motivate students to study and learn even though they have access to AI models that can solve their assignments for them. In this talk, Prof. Peter Parnes will address how the educational system could and will change due to the use of AI.

Peter Parnes is a professor in Pervasive and Mobile Computing at Luleå University of Technology, where he also leads the ArcTech Learning Lab, a cross-disciplinary research center for learning at all ages. Peter's research is focused on improving learning and education using modern technology, including AI and computer game technologies.
