Humlab Workshop: Introduction to text mining

Do you have digital text material that you want to explore on a larger scale? Are you curious about how your research could benefit from distant reading approaches? This workshop will guide you through the basics of text mining methods in the humanities and social sciences, and provide you with some hands-on skills in the program AntConc.
 
The workshop is suited for absolute beginners – previous experience needed. Bring your own laptop and an idea on what kind of material you would like to study further with computational methods! 
 
This workshop will include:
1. Short introducing lecture to text mining

2. Introduction to AntConc

3. Collaborative work in AntConc

Practical details

It will be possible to participate in this workshop physically in Humlab, or online through ZOOM.
