The EC2U Forum brings together students, researchers, teachers, administrative staff, and Associated Partners from across Europe. The 2026 Forum is hosted by the University of Turku, Finland, and focuses on the overarching theme "Shaping European Futures through Quality Education".

10:00-12:00 Scientific Session: Multilingualism for Inclusive and Sustainable Education This virtual panel brings together researchers and educators to explore multilingual practices, ideologies, and innovations across EC2U partner institutions. Drawing from recent research in language learning, minority and language contact, digital communication, and sustainable teaching practices, the session highlights how multilingualism can support equity, well-being, and intercultural competence in European classrooms and beyond.
16:00-18:00 Science Contest The Science Contest is a fun, scientific competition designed to promote science and research while demonstrating how researchers tackle new research questions in real time, while also being creative and “thinking outside the box”. The Umeå University team will compete against the universities of Jena and Turku for a place in the grand finale against the winners of the first two rounds, Iași and Pavia.
