The annual one-day POLIS workshop is an opportunity for academics to present and discuss work on the polity, politics and policy of sport, and to foster collaborations with other researchers within this space. The research group Critical Research on Sport Policy, Organisation and Governance at Umeå University (SWE) is thrilled to invite you to the 2027 workshop.
The theme of the 2027 workshop is ‘Raising barriers or creating junctures?’ indicating that we especially welcome presentations with a focus on the theoretical, analytical, and empirical distinctiveness/ overlap between sport policy and politics research and adjacent fields such as sport management and the sociology of sport.
