Welcome to an application workshop for Teaching Sabbatical - a programme by STINT (the Foundation for the Internationalization of Higher Education and Research) that gives gives researchers and lecturers, who are passionate about teaching issues, the opportunity to teach abroad.
The search workshop is for teachers and researchers interested in being nominated for the programme. At the workshop, we will take a closer look at the criteria for the call and what can be strategic to highlight in an application. Former fellows will share their experiences.
Registration
You need to register to the event no later than June 3. When registering, please indicate if you want to participate on site or via Zoom.
STINT collaborates with selected universities based in the USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. As a participant in Teaching Sabbatical, you will stay at a university abroad and teach during an autumn semester (August – December). The intention is for you to teach, either by giving a course on your own or co-teach with a colleague at the host institution ("co-teaching").
STINT Teaching Sabbatical is based on a nomination process where the director of studies or head of department can nominate interested candidates for the International Office. An internal review then takes place before Umeå University nominates 2-3 candidates for STINT. The last day to send in your application to the International Office is August 15, 2022.
