Umeå School of Architecture invites you to a choreographed performance by first-year architecture students, exploring how movement can act as a conscious tool of design.
The Unfashion Show is the outcome of a two-week project within the first-year design studio, where students investigate movement as an intentional act, not as reaction, but as a way of producing world-relations. Through choreography, scoring, and material construction, the body becomes both medium and instrument for spatial design. Architecture here emerges from movement, performance, and collective experimentation.
The process engages choreography as a method for organizing space, scoring as a drawing system to project and compose, and performance as a form of ephemeral architectural production. The outcome is a collective performance where body, movement, and artifact are inseparable, unfolding temporary architectures.
