Umeå University offers a development programme for doctoral students to support the progression of students and improve conditions for a long and sustainable working life. The programme, which is open for doctoral students and their supervisors, is hosted by the Human Resources Office and given in close collaboration with the occupational health care service, Feelgood. The programme aims to contribute to increased knowledge and self-awareness for doctoral students and supervisors in order to strengthen the ability to meet the requirements and tough situations that arise in their roles.
All students admitted to a doctoral education at Umeå University are welcome to apply to the programme, which consists of a combination of introductory lectures, seminars, and workshops where examples are taken from your everyday practice.
This (first) part of the programme is given between September the 9th – October the 1st. The workload corresponds to approximately 20 hours of work (over 4 occasions) for doctoral students and 8 hours (over 3 occasions) for supervisors. The programme is free of charge for all participates and given in English.
