All new international faculty and staff members are welcome to take part in the Welcome Day held twice a year. This is an introduction day with the aim to provide you with information about Umeå University as an organisation and employer.
The programme includes a mini expo with representatives from the occupational health care services Feelgood, Infocenter, the University Library, local trade unions, Grants Office, IKSU sports centre, the PhD coordinator, International Staff Support, Salary Administration, IT Support, Umeå University Innovation System, the Communications Office and Friend in Umeå. This gives you a chance to get the answer to question you may have.
During the day, the programme includes discussing Swedish working culture together with some international employees who will come and share their experiences about working at Umeå University with you. The introduction day ends with a mingle including a taste of some traditional Swedish food and sweets.
