Welcome to a discussion on inclusion, diversity and equality in academia!

We, the organizers of the event, are inviting you to the equal opportunity initiative at Umeå University, which is a new network for everyone with an interest in equal opportunities. The first event took place in the spring, a panel discussion around the movie “Picture a Scientist” (available here). Several active measures to promote equality were identified, including education on the topic and networking (for a summary, see “Diskussion om jämställdhet startskott för nätverk”).

In the next meeting, we will present the goal of the network and collect feedback from participants to co-create future activities. It will also provide an opportunity to connect across departments and faculties. We are looking forward to your input and participation!
