Preparing the Public Sector for a Post-Hype AI Landscape
Governments and public institutions have invested a great deal of trust, resources and political hope into AI, especially generative AI. But if the hype fades or the technology fails to meet expectations, what happens next?
Hosted by the AI Policy Lab at Umeå University, this online workshop looks at how the public sector can prepare for such a shift and keep AI work focused on long term public value, accountability and social benefit. The session brings together leading voices in AI policy, ethics and governance to discuss practical ways to soften the impact of a GenAI downturn.
