Increases the knowledge of pollutants from small sewage treatment plants

NEWS Kristin Blum's dissertation improves the state of knowledge about how organic pollutants can be separated in small sewage treatment plants, if the organic pollutants lead to environmental impact and how existing small sewage treatment plants can be equipped with biocoal filters to improve the degree of purification. She defends her dissertation at Umeå University on Friday, February 23rd.

On Friday 23 February, Kristin Blum, Department of Chemistry at Umeå university, defends her dissertation titled Targeted and untargeted analysis of organic contaminants from on-site sewage treatment facilities. Removal, fate and environmental impact.The dissertation takes place at 9:00 in room KBE301(Lilla hörsalen), KBC, Umeå University.
