NEWS On 2 September, an updated education website will be launched to improve student recruitment. New opportunities to highlight strengths with programmes and courses, revised content and a more modern design are some of the new features.
In the spring of 2025, work began on improving the web to increase the opportunities for successful student recruitment. Umu.se/en/education is Umeå University's digital education catalogue and extensive conceptual work has been carried out to enable Umeå University to provide prospective students with the information they are looking for.

The new education website will be launched on 2 September. The new structure has been developed with the support of extensive concept and target group work, with a particular focus on meeting the needs and expectations of today's and tomorrow's students.
The education web is one of the University's most important digital channels, especially in a context of increasing competition for students and shrinking youth cohorts. According to the Youth Barometer (Ungdomsbarometern), the web has become by far the most important source of information for young people when choosing an education, while interest in education fairs and printed education catalogues has declined significantly in recent years.
