Soon you'll be able to apply to use your study support for on-campus exams in Ladok
NEWS
From the autumn semester 2025, it will be easier for those who have been recommended study support at on-campus examinations to apply to use that support. You do it directly in Ladok for students – at the same time as you register for an on-campus exam. For re-exams in August, however, the departments' previous procedures apply.
The change means that Umeå University is moving from manual to digital handling of students' applications for study support related to on-campus examinations.
How it works
When you register for an on-campus examination in Ladok, you apply to use your recommended study support (for example extended time, access to a separate room). You will see your recommended study support directly in the system when you register for the exam. This means that you no longer need to contact your institution to apply for this when it comes to on campus-exams - you can complete the entire process digitally.
Instructions for how to do this will be available in the Manual in the middle of August.
Applies only to on-campus exams
The new function in Ladok only applies to on-campus exams (both paper exams and e-examination in Inspera). Adjustments for all other types of examinations, such as home exams or labs, are still handled according to your course-giving institution's existing procedures.
Important if you need to retake an exam in August
Retake-exams in August 2025 are handled as before according to your course-giving institution's existing procedures. Please contact your institution as usual if you need your recommended study support on these occasions.
Students with a permanent disability such as dyslexia, ADHD or visual impairment can apply for studysupport to study on equal terms. This support can include, for example, extended writing time during exams, special equipment, or sitting in a smaller group.
