NEWS Bacteria are good at sticking to things, which can cause diseases and harm industries by damaging materials. Magnus Andersson uses lasers to study bacteria and find better ways to fight them and keep things clean and safe.
Magnus Andersson became professor i physics 1 April 2023 and is affiliated to Umeå Centre for Microbial Research, UCMR. He is one of the new professors at Umeå University that will be installed at Årshögtiden 20-21 October.
