Research group We conduct clinical and pre-clinical research on Parkinson's disease and other alpha-synucleinopathies. We focus on genetic and environmental causes, dementia in Parkinson's disease, biomarkers and changes in synapse function as part of disease development in the alpha-synucleinopathies.
Some patients diagnosed with Parkinson's may have neurological disease more similar to Alzheimer's.
