Welcome to Infrastructure Day, hosted by SciLifeLab Umeå. We bring together research infrastructures from Umeå University’s Faculties of Science and Technology and Medicine, as well as SLU and the University Hospital, to connect with researchers, explore cutting-edge technologies, share expertise, and strengthen collaboration in northern Sweden

About the event

A full-day gathering for all scientists to explore research infrastructure opportunities, share expertise, and connect across Umeå’s life science.

Learn more about national research infrastructures and the SciLifeLab platforms across Sweden, through personal meetings with our local staff scientists. Be part of collaboration with research infrastructures and SciLifeLab capabilities to drive life science in Sweden.

Please note that a fee of 500 SEK may be charged for a "no-show" without prior communication.

For those who wish to present posters, any costs related to poster board hire may be charged if the poster board is left empty on the day of the event.

Venue

The event will be held at seminar room Rotundan, in the Universum Building, Umeå University.

Universum Building

Place:

If you have not been to Rotundan Seminar Room in the Universum building before, please have a look at the digital campus map link. Once you enter the building you need to go one flight of stair up.

Access:

You can easily go to the Universum building from the city center of Umeå by bus. Take bus 5 or 8 from Vasaplan and get off at the bus stop Universum.

From there, it is only a few minutes to walk to get to Universum Building. You can find more information about bus timetables.

If you arrive by plane to Umeå, the fastest way to get to Universum Building is taking a taxi. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Please book your taxi in advance to avoid waiting at the airport.
