Basic course: Electron Microscopy in Life Sciences (1 ECTS), 10-12 March 2026
This course combines fundamental theory with hands-on demonstrations to provide a solid understanding of the Electron Microscopy in the biological sciences. The contents include principles of electron microscopy, specimen preparation, cryo-electron microscopy, correlative light-electron microscopy and 3D EM technique.

Costs: No course fee, but full attendance is required!
Examination/Credits: Oral and practical examinations are conducted during laboratory demonstrations. A course certificate will be given after participants attend all lectures and laboratory demonstrations for this 3-day course. UCEM recommends PhD program examiners to give 1 ECTS upon successful participation.
