Digital access to the Sámi heritage archives

Research project The main purpose of this research project is to improve the accessibility of the Sami cultural heritage through design and use of digital technology.

This will be done by restoring the knowledge of the Sami cultural heritage, so that it can be used by the Sami people and other users, and improve the accessibility of the Sami cultural heritage by developing new technical applications. In this project, the Sami document collections that are stored in European archives are mapped out. Furthermore, the project aims to create common ethical guidelines for using the Sami cultural heritage.
