Research project To succeed with the green transition, society needs to assess the effects on employment in the sectors significant to the transition, for example, the industrial manufacturing sector.
We analyze the effects of the green transition on industrial labor markets, with a special attention to those industries that are most affected by environmental policy. How does the demand for labor respond to the effect of environmental policies on the price of energy and on the cost of capital, and how does the demand for labor respond to firms’ emission abatement efforts?
