Project description

The goal is to increase the understanding of the northern building sector regarding BIM (Building Information Modelling) opportunities for SMEs, including BIM use and implementation. More specifically, the competence build-up comprises:

- Current use and implementation of BIM among building sector SMEs in the region - Opportunities for using BIM in the renovation and operational stage of the building process to support energy efficiency management - Opportunities for a shared BIM-practice relating to tasks of operationalizing and managing sustainable building in multiple stakeholder building projects, highlighting specifically opportunities from an SME-perspective - Opportunities for a shared BIM-practice supporting SMEs to operate across the national and regulatory boarders

The goal of the project is also to promote resource saving smart way of living, to reach wide acceptance of using energy efficient solutions to support a building process, renovation and facility management along the whole life cycle by developing procedures and methods based on open standards, for industry, public sector and individuals.
