Project description

Education is a means to change or consolidate societal values and structures. Several policy documents underline the importance to teach about and for solidarity, democracy and sustainability. Despite an immense literature on how to implement and measure the success of teaching about and for sustainability there still is a miss-match between the desired and the achieved policy outcomes.

In my PhD project I intend to use a holistic approach to identify causes for this miss-match. Holistic approach refers to the project considering policy documents, related research, teachers’ and students’ voices.
