SWEAH – National Graduate School on Ageing and Health

Umeå University is the partner of an interdisciplinary research school on ageing and health coordinated by Lund University – SWEAH.

SWEAH graduate school contributes to stimulating interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers in medicine and health, technology, architecture, law, social work, and humanities, for instance – all with ageing and health as a common ground.

At Umeå University, research on ageing and health is conducted at several faculties and in several research specialisations. This could be studies on organisation of care, longitudinal population-based studies and studies to evaluate different types of interventions.

“SWEAH provides an opportunity to be part of a fantastic network of doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows. They can take part in courses, exchange experiences and discuss their research projects within their own field of with completely differing fields,” says Erik Rosendahl, Professor of Physiotherapy.
