The overall aim of the Research School in General Practice is to develop and increase the amount of research and enhance research training in general practice in Sweden. Our specific aim is to ensure that we acquire a new generation of well-trained researchers in general practice with an education of high international standard.
Education at doctoral level is intended to develop the knowledge and skills that are needed to be able to pursue independent research.
Within the framework of the research school, doctoral students are given the opportunity to make both national and international contacts. All Swedish universities are behind the research school, which has an administrator and head of the research school located at Umeå University.
A large part of the teaching takes place via the internet. The participants will have an expanded range of research courses and the range of courses will to some extent be adapted based on the participants' needs.
