Carol Norberg is responsible for the international course in Arctic Science run by the Department of Physics. The course includes a visit to the Swedish Institute of Physics in Kiruna and the Abisko Scientific Research Station where researchers at Umeå University are investigating climate change in the Arctic.

Carol is also responsible for contacts between the Department of Physics at Umeå University and the Swedish Institute of Space Physics in Kiruna, in particular in relation to Ph.D. students.

Carol is a member of the board of the Nordic Network for Diversity in Physics, NORNDiP.
