Diamond is a postdoctoral researcher in Felipe Cava lab at the Department of Molecular Biology, where he is exploring the role of cell wall-modulating proteins in enabling Gram-negative bacteria to adapt to diverse environmental conditions.
Diamond began his academic journey with a graduate degree in Pharmacy from Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. He went on to earn a Master of Technology in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai. He completed his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur under the mentorship of Prof. Anindya S. Ghosh, where he investigated the impact of mutations in non-active site residues on the functioning of clinically significant carbapenem-hydrolyzing β-lactamases of Gram-negative bacteria.
