I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Occupational Therapy, working within a project about social prescribing in Sweden. The project aims to develop, implement, and evaluate a model to reduce loneliness and promote health and well-being among older adults by guiding them towards meaningful social activities.
My research focuses on older adults’ psychosocial well-being, as well as health-promoting and preventive approaches and tools, with a particular interest in how these are influenced by an increasingly digitalized everyday life and society. I am also interested in exploring how older adults themselves can be actively involved in research and development.
I hold a PhD in Health Sciences from Åbo Akademi University, where I defended my thesis in 2022. During my doctoral studies, I was affiliated with SWEAH, the Swedish National Graduate School on Ageing and Health
