I studied Physics at the FuJian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM), Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2012 to 2017, and achieved my Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2017. During my Ph.D., I was supported by China Scholarship Council (CSC) at the University of Pavia (Italy) as an exchange Ph.D. student working on the topic of Yb-based crystalline femtosecond mode-locked oscillator which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Antonio Agnesi. Afterwards, I continued his scientific research at GSI helmholtzzentrum fur Schwerionenforschung, Darmstadt (Germany) as a postdoc with the project of “C+ ionization with XUV at CRYRING” from 2018 to 2020.

My research interests cover various types of diode-pumped solid-state lasers based on rare earth and transition metal doping ions, in particular Nd, Yb, and Cr-doped, crystalline Raman lasers, Q-switched lasers for short (ns) pulses, waveguide lasers, mode-locked lasers for ultrashort (ps and fs) pulses, and mode-locking principles and devices. Moreover, by taking advantage of current position at the Ultrafast Nanoscience group at Umå University, led by Dr. Nicolo Maccaferri, I would like to extend his research not only on the Laser source itself, but also on the applied aspects of light-matter interactions in advanced and multifunctional nano- and meta-materials for optoelectronics by optical spectroscopy.
