Lara Rodríguez Sieweke is a PhD candidate in English Literature. Her research focuses on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s short stories as they were first published in popular magazines. Employing an intermedial theoretical framework, she examines how the different media and paratexts interact and make meaning in the magazine pages, where narrative text, illustration, and advertisement enter into dialogue.
