I joined Anna Överby lab as a postdoc in February 2026. Currently, I am focusing on the characterization of cellular and viral components that are important for TBEV replication.

I have over three years of experience in Arbovirology, and six years of additional experience in molecular virology and RNA virus reverse genetics. For the last two years I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher for Dr. Priya Shah at the University of California, Davis to study molecular mechanisms of flavivirus replication, specifically Yellow fever virus.

I got a Master’s degree in Biology in December 2014. The main goal of my work was to study the effect of vitamin complexes and their performance on cellular immunity. The research was conducted on the basis of the University sanatorium. I obtained a PhD degree in Biomedical engineering in 2023. As a PhD student, I studied the biology and pathogenesis of alphaviruses by studying the viral genome replication process in detail. My efforts were dedicated to investigation the properties of virus-encoded nonstructural protein 2 (nsP2) since it can be viewed as a central player in Alphavirus replication.

I always try to go beyond my existing knowledge and techniques to develop myself in virology and fields other than that and possibly find the intersection of all of them. I want to become a professional in the full meaning of this word and achieve best results.
