I am researching the role of communication and digital media in the organization of local environmental movements.
I am researching the role of communication in the organization of environmental movements in Sweden. My ongoing dissertation project focuses on how NGOs and networks that advocate for climate and environmental issues communicate internally—how internal communication shapes the issues and strategies pursued.
The overall goal of the project is to deepen the understanding of what hinders and enables participation and, thereby, democratic influence, and what role both media and communication play.
I have a background as a communicator within adult education and culture, where I have worked at national, regional, and local levels. Civil society, organization, strategic communication, social media platforms, and climate transition are areas of great interest to me.
