In my doctoral research, I study the new back-to-the-land movement ("den nya gröna vågen") in Sweden. There is little knowledge about the back-to-the-landers, who are either over-romanticized or discounted as naive idealists. The study focuses on personal transitions to the land, experiences with adoption of alternative farming and business practices, as well as triumphs and challenges of agrarian life. The dissertation contributes to formulating the agenda of critical entrepreneurship studies in the new Anthropocene realities. It does so by putting forward the construct of ecological embedding, which emphasizes the importance re-localisation of the economy, exploring how this localisation is daily negotiated at the margins of the modern growth economy.

My research interests include organizing in/after the Anthropocene, ecopreneurship, grassroots movements, degrowth, environmental philosophy and ecopsychology.

Apart from research, I am teaching diverse courses in business administration, with specific focus on entrepreneurship that integrates social and sustainability issues.
