Soumalya Banerjee completed his Ph.D. from Indian Council of Medical Research - National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (ICMR-NICED), Kolkata, India. During his Ph.D., he worked on formulation of different combination-based vaccine candidates against various multi-drug resistant enteric bacterial pathogens.
He joined as a postdoctoral researcher in Bernt Eric Uhlin lab where he is working on determination of conformational states of proteins associated with bacterial outer membrane vesicles and bacterial mini cells.
