My journey in science started in 1997, and in 2010 I joined the Yuri Schwartz group in the Department of Molecular Biology. Throughout all these years, science has always inspired me with its challenges, creativity, and the thrill of discovery.

For me, science is the one field where you can immerse yourself completely and never feel bored. It is endlessly fascinating and constantly evolving. I truly believe that science is the only human quest capable of continuously moving humanity toward a better version of itself—through knowledge, innovation, and a deeper understanding of the world around us.

How does the Polycomb epigenetic system preserve cellular identity across development, and how can this memory be erased? I integrate Drosophila genetics, cultured cells derived from drosophila, human and mouse tissues, and a broad range of modern molecular biology and genomic techniques to answer these exiting and fundamentally important questions.
