Updated information on how your studies at UID are affected by COVID-19

On June 15, the Swedish government allowed universities to open again. However, at Umeå Institute of Design we will continue to carefully follow developments in relation to COVID-19 in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our students.

We will, at all times, take the necessary precautions to make sure that our students are safe. When possible, the education will be held remotely until further notice. For the studies that still need to be conducted on the school's premises, careful consideration will be given to make sure that protocols are followed in accordance with recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Sweden.

We understand that the outbreak of COVID-19 can raise a fair few questions, especially for first-time international students. The page - What Happens to New Students? - hopes to answer some of those questions.

For general information on changes at Umeå Universiy due to COVID-19, please visit the continuously updated page - Changes due to COVID-19.

If you still have questions or concerns of any nature during the summer, please contact - Infocenter at Umeå University.
