FAQ USBE Graduation Ceremony

Please find frequently asked questions and answers regarding the Graduation Ceremony, below.

Who is invited to the USBE Graduation Ceremony?

We welcome all students at all USBEs programs and single subject courses who are graduating this Spring. You do not need to have passed all courses or finished your thesis. You only need to have been registered at the thesis in the Autumn of 2023 or Spring 2024.  Do you have questions about that, please contact your program/study advisor.

I'm a graduating student and didn’t receive an invitation, what should I do?

Perhaps the mail is in your spam folder, however, all information you need is available on the web. Read this page and sign up.

Why do I need to sign up for the ceremony?

You will be asked to go up on the stage, one by one, to receive the certificate. In order for us to arrange this, we need you to sign up no later than 14th of April. You will also be seated according to your program in alphabetical order.

Why start at 4.30 p.m.?

The time is adjusted so that it is possible for you to book a table at a restaurant and have time to dine with your fellow classmates or your family and friends. The ceremony and mingle will end about 7 p.m..

Is there a dress code for the ceremony?

We have no dress code but this is a festive and official celebration, so it is therefore appreciated if you are wearing nice clothes or having a national costume but the choice is yours!
