Floae is a discharge tracking device that encourages people to get to know their intimate flora based on what they can see, feel and smell with their own senses. The concept consists of the vulva kit (i.e. the external anatomy of the female genitalia) which is customizable and can be put together to create one´s own unique vulva, the input tokens which represent different discharges and the actual device which lights up in different colors based on the input it is given. Floae also offers an overview of vaginal discharge in relation to the menstrual cycle. During this project I have worked a lot with how people with vulva can gain genital confidence and a greater understanding of their intimate bacterial flora, in order to decrease insecurities regarding vaginal discharge.
