ARSY

Design Project 2 (BFA2) 2024

Craftsmen face daily exposure to hazardous substances and dust, which can result in severe health issues like silicosis and cancer. However, respirators are often forgotten or improperly stored, providing a false sense of security. Introducing ARSY (Available Respirator System), a product designed to be worn on the body, ensuring craftsmen always have their respirators accessible and well-protected. ARSY's wearable rail system offers flexibility and convenience allowing it to be easily moved and detached as needed. ARSY's design is both functional and symbolic, transparently emphasizing its purpose. The interior is crafted to keep the respirator dust-free and is shaped for easy cleaning with common tools like a vacuum cleaner or wet wipe. ARSY ensures safety and convenience for craftsmen, promoting better health practices on the job.
