The Getinge hive is a versatile system that combines the most essential machines for ICU recovery into a compact and intuitive device. Designed to fit and adapt to multiple different settings with the focus to help ease the post-care for ICU patients. It does this by creating a consistent and intuitive experience to help both, empower the nurse and relieve the patient during and around the recovery stage of an ICU visit. All while acting as the bridge between doctors, nurses, patients and their relatives.

An integrated and exchangeable suction pump container, connected to the integrated suction pump and cleverly engineered so it is still accessible from the outside.
Every detail in hive was thoughtfully designed - foot pedal break, hot-swapable batteries, emergency power plug, integrated fluid bag hooks.
Close collaboration with ICU nurses, building prototypes and ideating through sketching and 3D-modelling.
Due to an adjustable rail, the attached IV Pumps can be adjusted in height.
