Urban X

In collaboration with Thule, this project explores how urban outings with small children can be transformed from stressful chores into meaningful shared adventures. Today, many parents especially those navigating city life alone find everyday tasks like grocery runs or park visits overwhelming due to logistical and emotional demands. Children, on the other hand, experience these moments as exciting explorations, but often remain passive participants in traditional stroller systems. Thule Urban X is a compact, urban mobility solution designed to reduce stress for parents while empowering children through age-appropriate independence. The design prioritizes ease of use, comfort, and playful interaction. Key features include easy-access entry for the child, a shared tray space, versatile storage, and a transformable footrest that supports both sitting and napping. By supporting spontaneous outings and shared discoveries, Urban X encourages more time spent outdoors not just as transportation, but as an experience in itself.
