Mini map & Focus view
This project addresses challenges in remote patient monitoring by making it easier to understand what’s happening around a patient. We focused on two common events: saturation probes falling off patients and unusual dips in their blood pressure graphs. We propose two features: the “Mini Map” and the “Focus View,” which includes a video feed and timeline. The Mini Map shows where the nurses are and their movements, while the video feed and timeline in the Focus View provide clear insights into events around the patient in real-time and the past. These features integrate into existing systems, making them easy for nurses to adopt. While we only addressed a few challenges for remote nurses, this approach has the potential to significantly improve their workflows and ability to assist patient care.
