Exhibition prototype
Leviathan
This project explores how future music experiences in semi-autonomous vehicles can support emotionally rich and multisensory interactions beyond screens. The intelligence in the car is physically represented by Leviathan, running along the spine of the car. Grounded in hydro feminist thinking, the concept treats interaction as fluid and relational rather than command based. Instead of controlling music through discrete actions, drivers influence an evolving soundscape through their bodily state, driving rhythm and subtle tactile gestures. The system responds through a soft, tactile spine integrated into the interior, creating a continuous loop of influence between human, vehicle and environment. Developed through hands-on prototyping and scenario-based exploration, Leviathan proposes an alternative interface for future mobility. One that privileges presence, emotional awareness and shared experience over efficiency or visual control.
