Come on

Strategic Design (TD1) 2025

Inspired by the emotional warmth of gathering around a bonfire, playing board games, or simply enjoying the view while exploring new cities with friends, the 'Come on' vehicle interior is designed to foster connection and shared experience. It transforms seamlessly from a panoramic observatory into a welcoming social space, encouraging users to step away from screens and engage with one another. By prioritising atmosphere, comfort and togetherness, the design invites meaningful moments and lasting memories to unfold naturally within the vehicle.

About the course

In the course – Identity in Motion – students role-play as designers working in a strategic design department, with the goal to propose vehicle concepts that could shape culture. With global sustainable development goals in mind, students explore how customer needs and aspirations could be the foundation to proposing new and relevant products for Volvo Cars in the year 2030. The aim is to equip students with the tools required to identify opportunities for future offerings connecting a brand to the market in a meaningful way. Intuition, rationality and creativity are key factors to explore, allowing students to propose scalable solutions that should bring value to the company, their customers and to society as a whole.
