Me-vo
Me-vo is a Volvo concept vehicle designed to evolve with its user, promoting sustainable living and emotional connection through adaptable design. Inspired by Scandinavian furniture, its interior features modular components that are easy to care for and can be repurposed at home, such as an armrest that becomes a coffee table. A smart rail system allows most parts to move with the user, while core safety and tech remain on the platform. At the Grow centre, interiors can be seamlessly transferred to a new vehicle, making Me-vo a long-term companion that reflects personal growth, creativity and care.
About the course
In the course – Identity in Motion – students role-play as designers working in a strategic design department, with the goal to propose vehicle concepts that could shape culture. With global sustainable development goals in mind, students explore how customer needs and aspirations could be the foundation to proposing new and relevant products for Volvo Cars in the year 2030. The aim is to equip students with the tools required to identify opportunities for future offerings connecting a brand to the market in a meaningful way. Intuition, rationality and creativity are key factors to explore, allowing students to propose scalable solutions that should bring value to the company, their customers and to society as a whole.
