AI and the Student Learning Environment

On this page you will find information about AI and the student learning environment – learning activities, interactivity, and AI integrated elements in teaching.

Would you like to contribute?

We are now looking for interested teachers from across the university who would like to contribute experiences, perspectives, or development ideas within this area of work. By participating, you become part of the university’s collective development efforts and help shape sustainable, well considered, and pedagogically grounded approaches in relation to AI.

Students’ Learning Environment in Transition

As artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of students’ everyday lives, the conditions for learning are also changing. AI influences how students search for knowledge, plan their work, collaborate and are assessed, but also how they develop independence, responsibility and critical thinking. The sub area AI and the student learning environment focuses on this shift: what does it mean to be a student in a time when AI can function as support, tool and co creator in the learning process?

By gathering experiences from both students and teachers, the project aims to explore how the learning environment can be shaped so that AI strengthens, rather than replaces, academic work. The goal is to contribute knowledge and practical perspectives that safeguard quality, participation and academic integrity in a rapidly changing educational environment.
