Epidemiologist and modeller focusing on studying the impacts of climate change on health and how climate information can be used for public health prevention.
Professor Rocklöv is engaged in research in the nexus of global health, global environmental change and infectious disease epidemiology. He is a guest Professor at Umeå university and an Alexander von Humboldt Professor at Heidelberg University. His lab is focusing on understanding disease etiologydeveloping models and algorithms to describe drivers of emerging infectious diseases, and espcially how the emergence relates to climate change. Joacim´s lab is also engage in developing predictive algorithms and models for early warning and prepardness and for estimating future health impacts in relation to climate and environmental change guiding climate action. Joacim is currently leading several larger international collaborative projects within this area. https://csidlab.iwr.uni-heidelberg.de
