If you are a PhD student, particularly a “midterm PhD student” (approximately halfway through your PhD studies), we encourage you to present your project during the KBC DAYS in the form of a short, 2-minute, “elevator talk” and/or a poster, and discuss it with conference participants.

The best presentation will be awarded a travel voucher!

If you are planning to present your elevator talk/poster during the KBC DAYS, please register and express your interest as soon as possible (at the latest by 22 October) and be ready to submit a title and short abstract of your presentation for the abstract book (via email to info.kbc@umu.se at the latest by 28 October 23:59).

To help master PhD students' presentations at the KBC DAYS this year, Gabrielle Beans Picón, a research communications expert, can offer a half-day consultation. If interest is expressed, the consultation will be organised on a date agreed upon with Gabrielle.

Verification and form submission

In order to run the event in the best possible way, we collect information in this form with your consent. The personal data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the University as the data controller.

The information will be handled by the organisers of this event, KBC Communications Office (Umeå University and SLU), to administer and manage your registration and produce programme and nametags. Any dietary information will be forwarded to the caterer (without specifying participants' identities).
