The foundation manages the donation and distributes funds in accordance with the wishes you have expressed. In this way, your support can continue to contribute to research and education far into the future.

How it works

To establish an affiliated foundation, the endowment should normally amount to at least SEK 5 million. This helps ensure that the foundation can be managed sustainably and continue to support research, education or other activities over the long term.

When establishing a foundation, it is important that the purpose is formulated in a way that remains relevant and sustainable in the future. We are happy to discuss the available options and how your wishes can be translated into a long-term arrangement.

You decide how your gift will be used

Whether you choose to donate directly to Umeå University or establish an affiliated foundation, the funds will always be used in accordance with the purpose you have specified.
