Have a good life! How is our health influenced by our work and occupation? What consequences will an injury or illness have on our abilities?

The subject Occupational Therapy encompasses knowledge and studies on our occupation during the lifetime, connections between activity and health, consequences of injury and illness on our abilities and how activity can be used therapeutically. Occupational Therapy aims to make full use of the individual's own resources and encourage the individual's possibilities to live a full life in accordance with one's own desires and in conformity with the environment.

The measures start out from the capacities of the individual and can be directed towards both the individual and the environment. The goal of Occupational Therapy is to habilitate and rehabilitate people who have difficulties to manage their daily activities.

Occupational Therapy is the major subject of the Programme of Occupational Therapy and of the Master Programme of Occupational Therapy (supplementary education). It can also be the major subject of a Master's Degree.
