About the course
Healthcare today is technically advanced and development is moving forward quickly. Innovative technical solutions will have a decisive role in the healthcare of the future. The course provides an introduction to current biomedical applications and modalities used for diagnostics and therapy in clinical physiology, clinical neurophysiology, laboratory medicine, surgery and intensive care. The course introduces digital soultions for remote care and how medical information is handled. It also covers how physiological signals are recorded and interpreted. The course gives an insight into current and sustainable medical technology development from a future perspective. The course includes mandatory laboratory work, demonstrations and study visits.
The course includes two parts
1. Theory part, 5 credits
2. Laboratory part, 2.5 credits
